The IMPREG liner GL16 - standard for trenchless pipe rehabilitation

GL16 - the standard for trenchless pipe rehabilitation

IMPREG Liner GL16

The IMPREG liner GL16 was developed for all common pipes from DN 150 up to DN 2000. Thanks to very good material characteristics and new fibreglass design, more finely nuanced gradations of wall thickness can be produced (overview of static calculations).

This benefits our customers financially. And at the same time, a technical benefit is created: The IMPREG liner GL16 makes it easier to deal with large dimensions. Through the IMPREG liner GL16, the IMPREG Group has consistently extended its position as a technology leader in the market segment from DN 1200 upwards.

Unique, proven-quality fibreglass fabric complex with a long working life of more than 50 years.

Liner with change in dimension

Liner with change in dimension

The unique construction of the IMPREG liner allows a certain level of compensation for dimensional variations in the pipe. We can produce defined dimensional changes in our factory. Here, it should be noted that a dimensional change is not a standard product, and slight to moderate fold formation can arise. Leak testing can be performed only to a restricted extent. IMPREG accepts no warranty for this type and implementation of inliners. When ordering, installing, and curing these liners, specific instructions about installation and storage time must be complied with.

Vinyl ester resins

Vinyl ester resins

In combination with the carrier material made from Advantex (ECR glass), our standard resin system achieves the necessary resistance to communal waste waters. For highly aggressive waste waters and long-term exposure of high temperatures, we recommend the use of a vinyl ester resin compliant with DIN 16946/2. For making an exact recommendation, a waste water analysis is required. With our experts, we investigate the results of this analysis very closely so that we can offer the appropriate resin system.

Liners with thermal curing agents

Liners with thermal curing agents

For higher wall thicknesses, complete through-curing of the laminate can be enhanced by the addition of various thermal curing agents, and this is decisive in achieving the material parameters. We are happy to advise about the various options.

Safety caps

Safety caps

Safety caps must be installed at the start and end of the liner, and in manholes. The safety caps ensure that the liner cannot overextend and burst in areas where it is not supported by the pipe. Safety caps for inaccessible manholes can be pre-fitted.
